What Does “Active” Mean?
“Active” in MCA master data is useful, but it is not a credit rating or compliance guarantee.
An active company may still have:
- overdue filings;
- tax disputes;
- litigation;
- licence problems;
- financial stress;
- inactive GST registration for a specific state.
For important due diligence, verify other registers too.
